Exam stress tips

EXAM STRESS TIPS!!!

Now with all of our essentials, end of year tests, formal assessments and GCSE's looming over us it seems like there has never been more of a need for finding ways to cope with the stress and techniques in exam preparation.

Don't compare yourself to your friends and their abilities, everyone has different strengths.

  • Don't leave exams prep until the night before
  • Make lots of revision notes
  • Try not to compare your answers to other peoples because it makes you worry even more
Finally always trust in yourself and don't overthink or panic about exams just keep calm.

Tongue Twisters and Riddles ~ Molly Wood 8E

Tongue Twisters
and Riddles

Tongue Twisters

Betty Botter bought some butter
But she said the butter’s bitter
If I put it in my batter, it will make my batter bitter
But a bit of better butter will make my batter better
So ‘twas better Betty Botter bought a bit of better butter.

Red lorry, yellow lorry,
Red lorry, yellow lorry,
Red lorry, yellow lorry.

Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers,
A peck of pickled peppers Peter Piper picked,
If Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers,
Where’s the peck of pickled peppers Peter Piper picked?

Stupid superstition,
Stupid superstition,
Stupid superstition.

How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
He would chuck, he would, as much as he could, and chuck as much wood.
As a woodchuck would if a woodchuck could chuck wood.

Riddles

  1. I'm simple for a few people but hard for them to hear, I live inside of secrets I bring people's worst fears. What am I?
  2. The more you add the less it weights. What is it?
  3. What does a cat have that no other animal has?
  4. What is as big as an elephant but weighs nothing at all?
  5. What starts with an E, ends with an E but only has one letter in it?

Answers to Riddles

1. Whisper
2. Holes
3. Kittens
4. An Elephant's Shadow
5. An Envelope

Primary English Day

Abram Bryn Gates' Year 5 visit Cansfield

Pupils from Abram Bryn Gates visited Cansfield today to take part in an English morning with Mrs. Armstrong and Mrs. Howard-Sinclair.

The year 5 students became detectives for the day, using evidence to inform their conclusion. They assessed a crime scene and interviewed suspects before finally writing who they thought had killed Mr. Finch.

Cansfield staff were really impressed with the behaviour and the attitude to learning of Abram Bryn Gates'  pupils. Well done!

Here are some photos from our morning...
